For over 20 years my career has thrived at the intersection of food, creativity, community, and education. In my past life as a pastry chef, I founded and ran Very Different Cakes, a high-end custom cake design studio, with my work appearing in over 60 publications and television, including InStyle, Angelino, Food Network, and VH1. I also co-authored the cookbook Kids in the Holiday Kitchen and created a gourmet cupcake kit for the Home Shopping Network.
I’m a huge fan of people, whole food, holistic nutrition, deep breathing, and getting to the bottom of things. Having tackled and overcome my own health challenges over the years, I’ve learned that whole food nutrition, positivity, intention, and healing are inextricably linked.
Since becoming a certified nutritionist in Los Angeles in 2014, I’ve had the distinct privilege of working with incredible people; some with challenges ranging from IBS, celiac, prediabetes, and GERD to weight loss issues and plateaus, SIBO, insomnia, depression, and anxiety. I have years of consulting experience in holistic nutrition, autoimmune issues, detox, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, plant-based, whole foods, supplements, menu planning, and recipe creation.
While my Holistic Nutrition Certification is very useful, my dedication and drive to fully understand and help others are what sets me apart. I love that no matter how much I know, there’s SO MUCH MORE to learn. It’s an honor to apply my passion and experience to all the wonderful people here at the Training Loft!
In my free time, I’m either baking, cooking, reading, painting, writing poetry, hiking, traveling with my husband and two grown kids, or making ridiculous videos on IGTV.
